Ginger and Turmeric Midseason Update from Qualla Berry Farm

Posted 8/16/2016 6:37am by John Clarke & Karen Hurtubise.

Dear Friends,

We have had just enough rain, drip irrigation, and shade cloth to get our plants through this hot summer and we have really nice looking Ginger and Turmeric. We expect to have plenty of product and we will be harvesting Fresh Ginger beginning mid-October and Fresh Turmeric beginning early November. New photos have been posted on our website and on our Facebook page.

We will be presenting "Growing Ginger and Turmeric" at the Moss Memorial Library in Hayesville this Saturday August 20 at 2 PM so join us if you can.

Stay tuned for our upcoming plant sale! We will notify you of the details.

Hope you all are staying cool and we look forward to getting you fresh rhizomes during the harvest season this fall!

Thanks,

Karen Hurtubise and John Clarke
